Why InTouch™?

When you book a massage with a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) you have an outcome in mind — relieve stress and anxiety, relax your muscles, relieve lower back, neck or shoulder pain, alleviate migraine symptoms, fibromyalgia and more. And there are “massage therapy” techniques to address each of these pathologies.

Often times, however, while the scientific approach to soft tissue work known as massage therapy will provide relief and can achieve phenomenal results when approached knowledgeably and with care, it does not provide a holistic approach to healing at the deepest levels simply because it is directed by the ego and therefore subject to what is called “contamination” by our ego-centered need to fix things which often times limits our ability to get in touch with the bigger picture.

What is InTouch™?

InTouch™ is a holistic approach to body work that sets aside the ego’s need to heal and allows intuition to guide your bodywork experience for the ultimate massaging treatment.

This approach to body work that is very different from Therapeutic Massage allows me to set aside my own ego and enter into a light meditative state as I provide a holistic experience that flows in response to your unconscious speaking to me through my hands, more able to receive the subtle signals that tell me where to go and what to do — deep inhalation, twitching muscles, intense heat or cold, a relaxation response, sighing, tensing or clenching in areas of your body, your heart rate, breath rate and unlike any other form of massage, as you are free to express anything you may become aware of throughout the session - I am tuned into you .

As we move throughout the session I focus on envisioning what’s happening in response to my touch, not only where I place my hands but holistically, allowing me to be guided to provide you with ultimate relaxation and to promote deep healing, mind body and soul, beyond what a step-by-step scientific approach to massage therapy would provide.
