What is MYYOGA™?
MYYOGA™ is a short Yoga Workshop Series where you will be introduced to the theory and practice of yoga, understand what it is and what it is not, explore different styles of Yoga including Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Chair Yoga and more, learn beginner poses with variations for all abilities including disabilities, injuries and chronic illness or diseases that you might have thought would stop you from doing yoga - when in fact it is through these challenges you will find the greatest reward from your MYYOGA™ practice - and develop a custom series designed with you and for you to take away at the end of the 3 weeks and practice regularly in the comfort of your own home.
Whether you’re 18 or 108, are in a wheelchair, walk independently or with assistance, in perfect health or suffering from a life threatening disease, your MYYOGA™ is all about what you can do, and will, with the knowledge and experience you need to practice MYYOGA™ safely and comfortably in a way that works, for you.

Who is MYYOGA™ for?
If you’ve never touched a Yoga Mat before or you have done a little yoga but stopped because of illness, injury, disability or lack of confidence, strength or endurance, MYYOGA™ is for you.
Why MYYOGA™ ?
During my Yoga Teacher Training in Bali in 2013 an old injury came to the surface while I was practicing one of the more advanced poses, the headstand. Needless to say, I was devastated. The injury that presented itself was an abdominal hernia.
If you have ever done a headstand or seen one done well you know that it’s not about flinging your legs up in the air with perfect timing. To do a headstand, you are slowly and, using your core strength - your abdominal muscles - drawing your legs in towards your body and extending them upwards in a gentle controlled flow, an elegant unwinding, to align your body in an inverted vertical balancing pose. And here I was with an abdominal hernia. I thought this is it, I’ve invested all this time energy and money into my Yoga Teacher training and now I can’t even do Yoga much less teach it.
With an amazing group of teachers and fellow student teachers, it was through this re-injury that I came to understand the true purpose of Yoga.
Yoga is not about pushing yourself so hard that you injure yourself or aggravate an old injury; it’s not about burning calories or breaking into a sweat; and it’s certainly not about who can do the best headstand.
Yoga is about working with body, mind and breath together in harmony to enter into a state of spiritual union bringing about transformational change and balance in all areas of your life - mind body and soul.
